For us at Caffè Vergnano, sustainability is this: a balance made up of care, consistent choices and everyday actions.
People
Social sustainability starts with people. Through our Women in Coffee project, we promote women’s empowerment by supporting projects in coffee-producing countries, women’s entrepreneurship initiatives and national and international organizations that promote independence and new opportunities.
The same care is reflected within our company: we invest in professional development and continuous learning. Caring for our work also means recognizing and supporting people who make things possible every day.
Environment
Environmental sustainability also shapes the way we design our products and select their materials. That is why we view packaging as an important part of the process, seeking solutions that combine functionality, environmental responsibility and consistency with our approach to coffee-making, such as compostable capsules and the barrels made from 100% recycled PET (R-PET).
Company
Sustainability is also embedded in our processes. We recycle production waste, invest in energy efficiency, and continue to seek solutions that improve the effectiveness of our work while reducing waste and consumption.
The solar power system and the upgrades to the production lines are all part of the same effort: to conduct business with greater awareness, both today and in the future. It’s a concrete way to combine quality, responsibility and a focus on the future.
