Women in Coffee

Women, Coffee, the Future.

A project that combines empowerment, community and the future.

Women in Coffee is Caffè Vergnano’s social sustainability project dedicated to women’s empowerment. It was created to support women on a journey that combines autonomy, opportunity, and growth, both within and outside the coffee industry.
The project focuses on three areas: supporting women on coffee plantations, fostering women’s entrepreneurship in the hospitality industry, and collaborating with organizations and initiatives that promote the protection, independence, and new paths to autonomy for women.

Concrete commitment to people, the environment, and the supply chain.

Caffè Vergnano's social responsibility extends throughout the entire value chain, starting with the plantations where the coffee is grown

Women in Coffee supports women working on coffee plantations, recognizing their vital role at the source of the supply chain. In collaboration with the IWCA, the project supports initiatives dedicated to farming communities, with the goal of creating tangible opportunities and strengthening the value of women’s work in coffee-producing countries.

Areas of Focus

Wic Call

Women in Business

Women in Coffee is not just a support program, but a growth engine that invests in training, people and concrete opportunities.

Women in Coffee supports women entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry through a dedicated call for proposals, designed to foster the creation and growth of new Women in Coffee projects in the hospitality sector. It is a way to turn support into real opportunities, nurturing ideas, visions, and career paths that take shape through daily work.

Beyond the Supply Chain, Standing with Women

Women in Coffee also supports initiatives that assist women facing vulnerability, violence, or personal recovery.

This is a natural extension of the project: a commitment that goes beyond the coffee supply chain and opens the door to paths toward autonomy, protection, and renewal.

Where Women in Coffee Is Based

Women in Coffee is also taking shape in other places and through other forms of expression, which amplify its message and ensure its support remains visible over time.

Pink collection

The Pink Collection is where Women in Coffee takes shape as a product. Through and this collection, the project becomes visible and tangible, contributing over time to the support of initiatives dedicated to women’s empowerment.

Horeca World

Women in Coffee is also active in the Horeca sector as a network of cafes, professionals, and female entrepreneurs who share a common vision of hospitality, growth, and a focus on people. Here, the project translates into relationships, a local presence, and opportunities to give concrete continuity to its values.

Sparks

With “Scintille, Women in Coffee also becomes part of the employer branding narrative, bringing the values into the company culture. It’s a way to ensure the project’s continuity within the company as well, reinforcing a vision of growth that centers on people, awareness, and responsibility.
