Frappuccino – at home like at the café!

Frappuccino, in its classical version, first began as the combination of milk and coffee. Then it evolved into many variants and flavours, including strawberry, pineapple, mango, green tea and lemon. Here you can find the ideal recipes to prepare a delicious classic Frappuccino.

The first recipe is based on a mix of the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup of Caffè Vergnano espresso that can be also purchased from our online shop
  • 250 ml of milk
  • 10 ice cubes
  • 3 tbsp of sugar
  • 1 tbsp of pectin
  • whipped cream

Prepare the coffee and let it cool down. Pour the milk, cold coffee, sugar, pectin (necessary to thicken all the ingredients) and ice into a blender, then blend it all for a few seconds. Turn it off and then blend it until the ice cubes are crushed. Pour the Frappuccino into a large glass and decorate with whipped cream. You can also add a chocolate, caramel or hazelnut on top.

Simple ingredients for an excellent result

A very simple variant of the recipe above features the use of:

  • 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream
  • coffee
  • 1/3 cup of milk
  • chocolate flakes

Prepare some strong coffee, pour it into moulds suitable to create ice cubes and put them in the freezer: for each Frappuccino, you will need 4 cubes. Once ready, put them in a blender with the ice cream and milk: blend the ingredients and pour the mixture into a glass. At this point, add the chocolate shavings and that’s it! You can also delight your palate with delicious caramel or vanilla variations.

What you need to make a special Frappuccino

To make great Frappuccino, you need excellent, very strong coffee. In addition, it is important that the blender used is designed to crush ice and that it has adequate power. Add the ice last and blend the ingredients taking care to turn the blender off and on once or twice to prevent any damage to the motor. Of course, you shouldn’t take too long to do this, because the ice could melt, making the mixture watery and affecting the final result. If you also decide to prepare Frappuccino for your friends and want to surprise them not only with its flavour but also with its presentation, you can serve it in cute coloured glasses. The surprise effect is guaranteed!

Coffee and flavour—an always winning combination! Are you ready to combine the pleasure of a great cup of coffee with the freshness of a milkshake? See for yourself.
